These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern the use of the SalisburyShopRun.co.uk platform ("SalisburyShopRun", "we", "us", "our"). By accessing or using our website and services you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree you must not use our services.
1. About SalisburyShopRun
SalisburyShopRun operates an online marketplace and logistics platform connecting customers with local restaurants and retail stores in Salisbury and surrounding areas.
SalisburyShopRun provides:
• An online ordering platform
• Order processing and payment collection
• Delivery logistics through independent delivery partners and a small number of employed ridersSalisburyShopRun does not prepare, manufacture, or sell the products listed on the platform. All goods are sold by the relevant restaurant or retail store.
When an order is placed the customer enters into a contract directly with the relevant restaurant or store for the purchase of goods. SalisburyShopRun acts only as a technology platform and delivery service.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account and use SalisburyShopRun.
By creating an account you confirm that:
• The information you provide is accurate and current
• You will keep your login details secure
• You accept responsibility for all activity on your account
3. Pricing Structure
Prices displayed on the SalisburyShopRun platform consist of three separate elements:

Product price set by the restaurant or store

SalisburyShopRun service fee ( £1.25 + 8% of the product price )

Delivery partner fee
Delivery partner fees are calculated as:
• £3.50 collection fee
• £1.25 per mile travelledDelivery fees are paid in full to the delivery partner completing the order.
Prices displayed on the SalisburyShopRun platform may differ from prices offered directly in-store.
4. Orders
Once an order has been placed it is immediately transmitted to the relevant restaurant or store for preparation and processing.
Orders cannot normally be cancelled once confirmed due to the immediate preparation of goods.
This policy does not affect your statutory rights.
5. Alcohol Sales and Age Verification
Some stores on the SalisburyShopRun platform may sell alcohol.
All alcohol sales are made by the licensed premises selling the product. SalisburyShopRun does not sell alcohol and acts only as a delivery intermediary.
SalisburyShopRun operates a Challenge 100 policy for alcohol deliveries.
Delivery partners must request valid identification from every customer receiving alcohol regardless of age.
Alcohol will not be delivered where:
• Valid identification is not provided
• The recipient is under 18 years of age
• The recipient appears intoxicated
• The recipient appears mentally incapable of responsibly receiving alcoholDelivery partners have the right to refuse alcohol delivery in any of the above circumstances.
6. Product Responsibility
Restaurants and stores are solely responsible for:
• Product quality
• Product safety
• Food hygiene
• Allergen information
• Legal compliance for the sale of their goodsAll stores must:
• Hold a valid Food Hygiene Rating
• Comply with all food safety regulations
• Hold all necessary licences for the sale of restricted goods including alcoholSalisburyShopRun reserves the right to request and retain copies of relevant licences and compliance documents.
7. Delivery
SalisburyShopRun provides delivery through independent delivery partners and employed riders.
Delivery partners are responsible for transporting orders from the store to the customer address.
Delivery times may vary due to traffic, weather, store preparation time, and rider availability.
SalisburyShopRun is not responsible for delays caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control.
Delivery partners may refuse delivery where:
• Customer identification cannot be verified
• Delivery location is unsafe
• The recipient is aggressive or abusive
8. Refunds and Complaints
Customers are entitled to remedies where goods are not of satisfactory quality, not as described, or otherwise in breach of consumer law.
If you believe an order is incorrect or of poor quality you must report the issue through our support system and provide evidence where requested.
Where a refund or compensation is required SalisburyShopRun may issue the refund and deduct the relevant amount from the restaurant or store responsible for the order.
This does not affect your statutory consumer rights.
9. Store Owner Responsibilities
Stores listing on SalisburyShopRun agree that:
• All product listings are accurate
• All prices entered reflect the price they expect to receive
• All legal requirements for selling their products are metStores must hold all required licences including food hygiene certification and alcohol licences where applicable.
Stores agree to indemnify SalisburyShopRun against claims arising from:
• Food safety breaches
• Allergen mislabelling
• Illegal sale of restricted products
10. Delivery Partner Status
Independent delivery partners operate as self-employed contractors.
This agreement does not create an employment relationship between SalisburyShopRun and independent delivery partners.
Delivery partners are responsible for:
• Their own tax obligations
• Maintaining appropriate insurance
• Maintaining suitable vehicles and equipmentAll delivery partners operating on the SalisburyShopRun platform do so as independent self‑employed contractors. The only employed rider within the company is the business owner and platform developer, B M James, who may from time to time undertake deliveries or operational testing within the system. Any such activity does not change the independent contractor status of other delivery partners.
11. Driver Allocation System
Delivery opportunities are allocated based primarily on rider proximity to the store and current workload.
Where appropriate riders may be offered additional deliveries where routes are similar.
Customer ratings are provided for rider feedback and personal development only and do not determine work allocation.
12. Payments and Platform Partners
SalisburyShopRun uses a number of third‑party technology providers in order to operate the platform.
Payment Processing
All customer payments are processed through PayPal. SalisburyShopRun does not directly process or store customer card details. PayPal acts as the payment service provider and processes transactions in accordance with its own security and regulatory obligations.
E‑commerce Platform
The SalisburyShopRun website is hosted on the Shopify platform. Shopify provides the infrastructure supporting customer accounts, checkout functionality and store management tools.
Marketplace Technology
SalisburyShopRun operates its multi‑vendor marketplace using technology provided by PuppetVendors. This system allows independent restaurants and stores to manage their product listings and receive customer orders.
Delivery Dispatch
Delivery dispatch and rider logistics are managed through the Shipday platform which allocates deliveries to available riders and tracks order fulfilment.
Data Protection
Customer and operational data processed through SalisburyShopRun may be handled by these platform partners solely for the purposes of:
• processing orders
• managing store listings
• coordinating deliveries
• facilitating payment transactionsAll partners used by SalisburyShopRun operate in compliance with applicable data protection legislation including the UK GDPR.
SalisburyShopRun does not sell or trade personal customer data to third parties.
13. Limitation of Liability
Limitation of Liability
SalisburyShopRun is not liable for:
• The quality or safety of goods supplied by restaurants or stores
• Delays caused by restaurants, traffic, or external factors
• Indirect or consequential lossesNothing in these Terms limits liability where it cannot legally be excluded including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
14. Suspension or Termination
SalisburyShopRun may suspend or terminate accounts where users:
• Breach these Terms
• Engage in illegal activity
• Abuse staff, riders, or stores
• Attempt fraudulent transactions
15. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the platform following updates constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
16. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
Any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
